Dazza Night

It is the bride trousseau which was composed
of clothes and a wallet full of money. The mother
of the bride received the money meanwhile the
clothes were exhibited in front of women. Criticism
and commentary were inevitable.
The Perfumer                

It is the habit when someone breathes the incense,
he sends blessings on the Messenger - Peace and
blessing be upon him. It is one of the good habits.
The Well and the Bucket

In the old houses, the Jileeb or the Qaleeb
(the well) was indispensable. Its water was
used for many purposes except drinking.
The bucket was used to get water out.
Out of Date Articles

Some essential home articles which are out of place
today are exhibited in this painting such as the jar,
the bucket, the bottle, the zabeel (frail), the funnel,
the kerosene pump, the kashoona (a container
made of palm fronds with a cover), the mulmas
(coherent bars of iron), the wooden mirzam
(waterspout), the lantern, the sofra (a table made of
reeds), the mallalah (a hanging container made of
palm leaves), the mat, the sweeper and etc.
Bukhokha (the wicket door) from inside

It is one of the old doors which had its specific
form which differed from others.
Bashtakhtah and its Ghuwanat (The
Gramophone and its Records)

It was a box where records were played. Some
people did not care for it, others such as the singers
and those who were fond of music liked it.
A Mubayat (Chest) and Baskets

In the past, the rich and the wealthy people
used to keep them in their rooms. The baskets were
called rowt basket and were used for keeping the
clothes.
The Roshina (niche/a shallow recess especially
in a wall)

In the past, the roshina existed in the walls of
the Kuwaiti rooms and were used to keep ornaments
and house articles.
Before Breakfast

The materials used to prepare breakfast
such as dowa (mobile stove), the tea ghoori
(Kettle), the milk dallah (pot), the tray and the cups.
